For the past year, I have cringed every time I have heard of a new software or ebook that contained the words “affiliate” in the title. I am a big believer in always paying attention to what is going on and I will often review a product for my PortalFeeder members and / or to see about arranging a deal for DealDotCom. Sadly however, I can honestly say that 70% of the products out there are truly crap and then out of the 30% that are not crap there are only a few that are truly powerful solutions.
Brad Callen’s latest product is called “Affiliate Elite” and 4 weeks ago I got an early copy to check out and run through the paces. So does this software fall into the crap category or does it make it into the 30%… or even be labeled a Must have? Let’s take a look…
Affiliate Elite Review Part 1: What I Love About Affiliate Elite:
1. The first thing I will say is that I was most excited to try out the “find JV partners” function but to my surprise I truly found each function to be much more powerful then I anticipated.
2. The system makes sorting, organizing and filtering potential affiliate programs an absolute breeze. The program imports the latest ClickBank and PayDotCom affiliate programs daily, allow you to sort by keyword, date added, category, Clickbank ID and more. It also allows you to see trends and easily pinpoint which programs you will want to promote and which ones to avoid like the plague.
I can not stress enough the speed at which this works, I understand that Clickbank and PayDotCom have good search features but they are nothing like this when it comes to the absolute speed and detail that affiliate elite does it.
3. Find every keyword that profitable marketers are using or your competition is using. I have to admit that this was one I actually thought was going to be a waste of time until I tried it. The system creates an extremely powerful list and includes all the ad copy the person is using plus their position.
4. See what keywords are actually making people money. Affiliate Elite has a very powerful AdWords spy tool that will run on a scheduled basis. You simply enter your list of keywords and let affiliate elite do the rest. It then will run for as many days as you want and track which keywords are being bid on and which ones are not. It will then start to show you an extremely powerful list of words that are being used by the same companies for extended periods of time. These keywords are most certainly money makers because advertisers do not like to waste money. The second best part is once you have identified which sites are using which words for extended periods of time, then you simply can go back to the reverse search and find all the words those sites are using and watch those as well.
5. This is the part of affiliate elite that I was most excited for. You can easily find affiliates who are already promoting similar products as to what you have and contact them to promote your product. You can also find all the products that any affiliate (such as a guru who mails you) is promoting and then using the reverse search, you can uncover everything (keywords, sales copy and ad copy) that they are using.

Affiliate Elite Review Part 2: What I Hate About Affiliate Elite:
1. I hate the navigation.. I hate it with Keyword Elite and SEO Elite and I still hate it with Affiliate Elite. It is not very user intuitive and because of that I find that when you first open up the application you are like a deer in the headlights, you just sit there trying to understand what to do (I solve this problem below, so keep reading)
2. It is limited to working only with Clickbank and PayDotCom. I actually do not have an answer for this one but it would be great if it worked with other affiliate networks (but how I have no idea)
3. The price is expensive for a lot of people. Compared to some recent products as of late that price is actually decent for what you get but still, once you start getting into the $150+ area, you start to get out of reach for many. There is also a recurring cost of $37 a month but I have to admit I should not really put this in the Hate category because Project 2 in Affiliate Elite is VERY server intensive. It works similar to other “web-based” sites that charge upwards of $97/month for ONLY the keywords and total number of advertisers. Affiliate Elite provides that and a heckuva lot more in project 2 alone. Project 3 is also similar to some of the web-based services like a Google Cash Detective or a Undercoverprofits, which both charge VERY high monthly fees. So yes it sucks to pay a monthy fee but it is still WAY cheaper and more powerful then the alternative.
From what Brad told me, Project 1 queries a DB of over 4 billion web pages, which are all crawled and updated on a weekly basis. Maintaining this information is extremely expensive. It would be impossible for a single person to afford this on their own… unless they were Bill Gates
4. The program training does not really do as well as it could for setting you up for success from day one (I’ve also solved this problem below).
Affiliate Elite Review Summary:
Affiliate Elite is one of the better programs I have seen come to market in recent times, so you can relax and not be concerned that Brad Callen is just another hyped up product pimp.
Affiliate Elite is in fact a powerhouse application that really will help with your affiliate marketing, it is not the end all be all of solutions but I can tell you right now that it most certainly is NOT crap.

The trouble with new product launches is that you read all of the usual hype on the sales letters saying you must get in now and secure your position to ensure you maximize your potential and because you have heard it all before, you tend to be somewhat cautious and step back and wait and see what happens.
It’s not long before all the hype dies down and you start to see good and bad reports about it. Sometimes in a minority of cases, you realise that the product is everything it says it is and is receiving raving reviews. It is at this point you decide to jump in and pay your subscription. This can be anything from $10 and upwards to $100 or more and with a monthly subscription on top.
Okay, so now you have made the commitment, you now need to work hard driving traffic to it to try andget your money back in the form of commissions for referring others to the program.
Once inside as a registered member, there will undoubtedly be tutorials about the program showing you how to promote it and maximize the potential and going through these takes time, time which in reality you should be spending trying to recruit others.
Three months in to the new “must have” program and you are still struggling to recruit anyone to the new opportunity and all the time, your level of investment is growing.
